Description
Chem-Set VST 3050 is a 20 mil (0.020″) double-sided high-performance acrylic-based adhesive tape. With very high transparency, this tape is specially designed to bond to transparent materials such as glass, PMMA, and PC. It is also capable of absorbing the different thermal expansions of two materials like glass and metals. In combination with a primer, the VST 3050 also provides excellent adhesion performance even on medium and low surface energy substrates like HDPE, PP, and PE.
Suitable For:
- Transparent Plastics
- Glass
- Stainless Steel
- Galvanized Steel
- Anodized Aluminum
- Coated Aluminum
- High and medium surface energy plastics
General Information:
VST 3050 clear series tape has a closed cell structure that is wind and water-resistant. Because they are 100% acrylic based, they will form an almost indestructible bond between the materials. This family is resistant to UV, aging, softening agents and solvents (good plasticizer resistance). These tapes bond immediately and offer extreme resistance to the peel and shear loads that can affect a bond. These tapes are very well suited to absorb dynamic loads as they are viscoelastic, they can act as a sealant, form a permanent tension-free bond, and are suitable to bond many different types of synthetic materials.
