Product Spotlight – Devcon Wear Resistant Putty

Devcon’s Wear Resistant Putty is a smooth, non-rusting, two-part epoxy comprised of a fine-graded ceramic resin and a ‘heavy cream’ hardener. It’s best leveraged in guarding surfaces that commonly interfere with abrasives, typically functioning to increase abrasion resistance for hydraulic structures or similar machinery. These low friction environments, like that of a machine lathe bed are where this epoxy putty shines for its ability to repair and maintain in high-wear situations. Steel, iron, aluminum, ceramic, brass, and some plastics are all surfaces that our fair game for this multi-purpose putty.
Available in both liquid and putty, Devcon Wear Resistant Putty has a working time of 60 minutes (at 75 degrees Fahrenheit) and has a 16 hour functional curing time, after which it can covered by paint, drilled into or machined.

Intended uses
In addition to being a good choice for hydraulic systems and machine lathes, Devcon Wear Resistant Putty can be used for repairing valve seats and bodies, machine ways, flange faces, and tracing guides.
